The objective of this project is to perform a comparative analysis of models for forecasting residual demand curves for secondary reserve in the Portuguese electricity system.
To this end, various explanatory variables available at the time of making the predictions are considered, as well as different prediction architectures, such as models based on dimensionality reduction using principal component analysis (PCA) and functional time series models.
